Me, the Human

Therapist for Unique Asians

Hi, I'm Harry Au (he/him).

As a 1.5 generation immigrant who came to Canada as a kid, my identity has always been beautifully complicated.

I went through my own journey to rediscover all my true selves, and built an integrated mega-self – full of joy, love, fear, and everything inbetween.

Like me, you dream of becoming your most authentic self.

My passion is help you continuously embrace the unique life that you want to live.

Your Problems are Unique. The Solutions Should Be Too.

You've looked around for Asian therapists, had some consultations, and even had a few sessions.

But even though these therapists were Asian, you left feeling like they don't really see the FULL you. Yikes.

We're not just Asians. We're complex individuals.

Here are some of my quirks.

I was the Asian boy who listened to Backstreet Boys on repeat. Good times.

I'm a recovering perfectionist. I got it from my mom, and I've learned to channel it only when it's useful.

I really enjoy eating at restaurants by myself.

A Unique Approach, Tailored to You

Clients often tell me how impactful it is to work with someone who truly “gets” the nuances of intergenerational trauma and cultural complexity.

That’s why I’ve structured my approach to go beyond “cultural competency”—which can feel like a one-size-fits-all label—and instead focus on deeply understanding your unique story.

Therapy with me is about embracing your individuality within the broader context of your cultural experience

And my passion is to help you through your own journey, to embrace your unique mega-self, and live with a creativity you never thought possible.

Life Doesn't Have To Be This Hard

Let’s finally unknot all the things that you have held on to for so long. Let’s work together to map out the freedom that you’re seeking. And let's build trust in yourself to take the lead.

I’ll be here to support you during the lows, celebrate with you during the highs, and laugh with you at how ridiculous our world can be sometimes. Let’s discover who you truly are.
